Design Competition #1 - Logo Winner

I'm pleased to announce that Morgan Grylls, of the 4th year MArch programme, has won KASA Design Competition #1 - Logo. We felt his design presented us with the most fully realised idea, and one that was professional, while also playful. The shortlist follows.

Design Competition #1 - Logo

Right then... To start things off, we're asking you to design our new logo. Whether it's the KASA text as a logo, or a symbol and text is up to you.
Entries should be hard copies no bigger than A3, and submitted to Ben Martin in the School of Architecture office by 9am on Friday 13th of November. The winner will recieve a £25 book token.

Entries will be judged during that day, with the winner announced by 2pm.

Good luck!

[This competition is open to strictly students of KSA only]

Welcome to KASA 2009-2010!

The Kent Architectural Students Association (KASA) is THE officially sanctioned Kent School of Architecture (KSA), student organisation. We are a growing and developing organisation established to promote all aspects of spatial design, whether interior or exterior, ‘for the students, by the students!’

KASA was established in 2005, and in previous years we have organised a KASA lecture series featuring notable visiting speakers such as Will Alsop, Piers Gough, and partners from Fielden Clegg Bradley, Grimshaw and RSHP. In addition to this, we have raised sponsorship, organised socials, and intiated many other significant activities.

This year we hope to build upon the success of our predecessors and provide a more diverse lecture series that will cover many topics across architecture, as well as graphic design, product design, and art.

We hope you will want to get involved; the strength of the organisation depends each year on the energy of a new generation of students. This blog is where lectures and general events will be announced, as well as other significant events within KASA such as design competitions. It is for all members of KASA, and should be used for a free exchange of ideas, inspiration and news, architectural or not. So contribute! Help make KASA a continuing and growing success in 2009-2010!

Matthew.
KASA President.
